privacy policy

Last updated October 5, 2026

This policy covers the minimalpin Chrome extension ("minimalpin"), a free extension that changes how Pinterest looks in your browser.

Data we collect

minimalpin does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. That includes your name, email, browsing history, Pinterest account details, pins, boards, and anything else you see or do on Pinterest.

How your settings are stored

Your minimalpin settings (such as layout, spacing, hidden content, and dark mode) are saved locally in your browser using Chrome storage. They never leave your browser and are never sent to us or anyone else. If Chrome sync is turned on, Chrome itself may sync those settings between your own devices under Google's privacy policy.

Sharing and selling data

Because minimalpin collects no personal data, there is nothing to sell, share, or transfer to third parties. minimalpin does not use data for advertising, credit, or lending purposes.

Permissions

minimalpin only uses the browser permissions it needs to restyle Pinterest pages and remember your settings. It does not run on other websites.

Removing your data

You can clear your settings at any time by uninstalling minimalpin or clearing its extension data in Chrome.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
